On or about Tuesday, August 17th, 2021, around 5:01 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck sent four people to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 94 in Wadsworth, Illinois.
Officials from the area said four as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the back of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck as the pickup had slowed to make a lane change on eastbound Interstate 94. Four people in the pickup truck were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 94 runs east and west through Wadsworth, with the scene of the accident situated not far from the Wadsworth Road exit.
Police are still examining the cause of the incident.
