On or about Monday, January 25th, 2021, an accident between an 18-wheeler and five other cars sent four people to the hospital. Troopers from the FHP said the accident happened along Interstate 95 near International Golf Parkway in St. Johns County, Florida.

Police spokespeople said four people were hurt when an 18-wheeler allegedly attempted a U-turn on the interstate, causing a chain-reaction accident with five other cars. Four people were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries. Two of the victims had to be cut from the wreckage by emergency responders.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified by police only as a 57-year-old man, did not report injuries after the incident.

According to Google Maps, the accident happened about 40 miles south of Jacksonville. Interstate 95 runs north and south through the area.

State Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
