On or about Friday, February 18th, 2022, around 12:30 in the morning, an accident between an Uber rideshare vehicle and a passenger car left four people dead. Authorities from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 5700 block of Will Clayton Parkway in Houston, Texas.

Officers from the Houston Police Department said four as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the passenger vehicle they were in may have sideswiped an Uber rideshare vehicle on Will Clayton Parkway. After the initial accident, the passenger vehicle allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and slammed into a tree. Paramedics pronounced four people dead of their injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from IAH Airport.

Police are still trying to pin down the cause of the accident.
