On or about Friday, July 7th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left four people dead. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 1 in Moore County, North Carolina.

According to North Carolina State Police, four as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unknown circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced four people dead of their injuries a short time after the accident, but did not specify which vehicle the victims were in at the time of the incident.

According to Google Maps, Highway 1 runs north and south along the edge of Moore County, which is about 87 miles east of downtown Charlotte.
