On or about Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 59-year-old Nashville woman. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 24 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
Law enforcement representatives from the Tennessee State Police said 59-year-old Frances Woodall was killed when the vehicle she was driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had broken down in the westbound lanes of I-24. Paramedics pronounced Woodall dead of her injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not currently clear if she died at the scene or if she succumbed to her injuries a short time after being rushed to the hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 40 miles southeast of downtown Nashville.
