On or about Tuesday, March 7th, 2021, around 12:20 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left a 27-year-old Bastrop woman dead. Investigators said the accident was reported at an intersection along State Highway 95 in Bell County, Texas.
Texas DPS Troopers said 27-year-old Franchesca Meghan Novick was killed when her Ford F-150 allegedly failed to yield at an intersection on Highway 95 and struck a tractor-trailer. Paramedics rushed Novick to a nearby hospital where she died of her injuries a short time after her arrival. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who police did not name, was uninjured in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Bell County is situated about 72 miles north of the greater Austin area.
Department of Public Safety and local authorities are investigating the accident.
