Details:
On or about Monday, January 24th, 2022, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a car and a pedestrian left a 56-year-old man dead. Authorities from the DPS said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 27 just outside Plainview, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said 56-year-old Frank Castro was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on I-27. Emergency responders pronounced Castro dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the incident is a short distance from Plainview, which is roughly 76 miles south of Amarillo.
