On or about Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, around 4:09 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left a 59-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 16 in Smith County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 59-year-old Frank Liles was killed when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a passenger vehicle that turned into his path along Farm-to-Market Road 16. Emergency responders pronounced Liles dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the collision is not far from Winona.
