Details:
On or about Thursday, April 7th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, a major accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left an 18-month-old child dead and sent three people to the hospital. Spokespeople from the LSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 12 in Holden, Louisiana.
Troopers from the Louisiana State Police said 18-month-old Gael Pacheco was killed when the pickup truck he was in was allegedly rear-ended by a tractor-trailer driven by 60-year-old Predrag Bisevac along I-12. Emergency responders pronounced Pacheco dead, while the driver and another passenger in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Officials have since charged Bisavec with with negligent homicide and reckless operation in connection with the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 12 winds east and west through Holden.
Police are still investigating the accident.
