On or about Tuesday, February 9th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a garbage truck and an SUV left a man dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident happened on Highway 127 near Melrose Avenue in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police said Garrett Stark was killed when his SUV allegedly struck the back of a garbage truck. Emergency responders pronounced Stark dead a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if he died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were mentioned by police in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, Harrodsburg is about 72 miles southwest of Lexington.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police are investigating the crash.
