On or about Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, around 10:00 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Recreational Road 255 in Tyler County, Texas.
Officials said 59-year-old Gary Powell was injured when the tractor-trailer he was driving allegedly veered off the side of Recreational Road 255 and rolled a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported Powell to Hermann Memorial Hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the north side of Tyler County.
Police are still looking into the accident.
