Details
Gaspar Lopez Hernandez was killed and his passenger critically injured after driving into the path of an oncoming GMC Yukon. West Palm Beach Police state that Hernandez was driving west on Summa Street and reportedly veered into the eastbound lane, colliding with the GMC Yukon. Authorities say neither Hernandez nor the unnamed passenger were wearing seatbelts, and were subsequently ejected from the box truck upon impact.
Hernandez, a 24-year-old native of Indiantown, FL, and his passenger were taken to nearby St. Mary’s Medical Center where Hernandez would be pronounced dead. The passenger is in critical condition, and the driver of the GMC Yukon was uninjured.
