Details:
On or about Wednesday, October 28th, 2020, around 1:50 in the afternoon, a three vehicle accident with a tractor-trailer sent a 74-year-old man to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 44 in Lawrence County, Missouri.
Authorities from the area said that 74-year-old George Robertson was injured when his car was allegedly rear-ended by a tractor-trailer driven by Abdifatah A. Yusuf. Robertson’s car was then pushed into another vehicle driven by Najjiyyah A. Johnson. Paramedics rushed Robertson to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Lawrence County is situated about 35 miles west of Springfield. Street View shows that Interstate 44 is four lanes with a wide, grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic.
Missouri State Highway Patrol are still investigating.
