On or about Monday, April 18th, 2022, around 10:30 at night, a serious three vehicle accident with a tractor-trailer sent a 61-year-old man to the hospital. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 80 in Liberty Township, Ohio.
Representatives from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said 61-year-old Gideon Itenberg was injured when the minivan he was driving was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer after it had come to a rest in the roadway after a previous collision with an SUV driven by Conrad Kalb. Paramedics transported Itenberg to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Officials identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Marcelo Guaita, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from mile marker 231.
Police are still working to pin down what happened in the accident.
