On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 1:57 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 34-year-old New Jersey man. Deputies from the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 40 in Palestine, Arkansas.

Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 34-year-old Gregory Hubler was killed when the Ford Mustang he was driving allegedly drove off the side of Interstate 40 and struck a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder. Emergency responders pronounced Hubler dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the crash.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 runs east and west through the northern edge of Palestine, which is located about 85 miles east of downtown Little Rock.

Arkansas State Police assisted after the accident.
