On or about Thursday, November 19th, 2020, around 7:40 in the morning, an accident between a car and a school bus sent a 41-year-old woman to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at the intersection of County Road 100 and Route 36 just outside Lynn, Indiana.

Investigators said 41-year-old Heather O’Dell was injured when her car was allegedly hit by a school bus that had attempted to cross Route 36 from County Road 100. Paramedics transported O’Dell to Reid Health to be treated for her injuries.

Officers identified the driver of the school bus as 58-year-old Joni Landers, who did not report injuries following the accident.

Examining the intersection on Google Maps shows Route 36 runs east and west with two lanes, while Co Rd 100 runs north and south with two lanes. Only County Road 100 has a stop sign at the intersection. Lynn is located about 81 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Officials are still investigating the accident.
