On or about March 18th, 2022, around 8:09 at night, an accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left a 45-year-old woman dead. Officials from the DPS said the accident was reported along the Airport Freeway in Irving, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 45-year-old Helen Schodek was killed when the motorcycle she was on allegedly collided with a passenger vehicle along the Airport Freeway. Schodek died of her injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if she died at the scene, or if she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead of her injuries a short time after her arrival.
Officials later stated Schodek had a BAC of 121 after the accident.
Authorities are still examining the factors that may have played a role in the accident.
