On or about Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, around 9:25 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle, a tractor-trailer, and an SUV sent a 56-year-old woman to the hospital. Investigators said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 10 near the intersection with George Dieter Drive in El Paso, Texas.
Officials said 46-year-old Hilda Rodriguez was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck her vehicle while making an unsafe lane change along I-10. After the collision with the tractor-trailer, Rodriguez’ vehicle was pushed into a nearby Toyota Sequoia SUV. Paramedics transported Rodriguez to a nearby hospital with incapacitating injuries stemming from the accident.
Police have since cited the driver of the tractor-trailer for changing lanes unsafely in connection with the crash.
