Details:
On or about Friday, April 29th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, an accident with an alleged drunk driver left a 67-year-old woman dead. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along FM 1069 in San Patricio County, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said 67-year-old Imelda Longoria Sifuentes was killed when several vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident along FM 1069. Emergency responders rushed Sifuentes to North Shore Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival. Police identified the driver of one of the other vehicles as 26-year-old David Gabriel Gonzales, who was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
Police have since charged David Gabriel Gonzales with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
Officials are still trying to determine exactly what happened in the accident.
