Details:
On or about Saturday, January 15th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a hit-and-run accident between a dump truck and two young girls left one child dead and sent the other to the hospital. Investigators said the accident was reported along 104th Street near the exchange with 24th Avenue East in Midland, Washington.
Authortieis said 12-year-old Immaculee Goldade was killed and 12-year-old Kathleen Olson was hurt when they were allegedly struck by a dump truck as they were walking alongside or near 104th Street. After the initial accident, the dump truck fled the scene. Goldade was pronounced dead, while Olson was rushed to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 34 miles south of downtown Seattle.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
