On or about Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident involving a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Authorities from the SCHP said the accident was reported along Highway 17A in Dorchester County, South Carolina.
Spokespeople from the South Carolina Highway Patrol said at least one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer crashed under unspecified conditions. Authorities indicated at least one person was hurt in the accident, but it is not currently clear if they were treated at the scene, or if they were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to Google Maps, Dorchester County is about 52 miles northwest of Charleston.
