Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck sent at least one person to the hospital. Officials said the accident was reported along Highway 27 just outside Havana in Gadsden County, Florida.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly collided with a pickup when the semi may have sustained a tire blowout. After the initial incident, the tractor-trailer drove off the side of the road where it came to a stop a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported at least one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Highway 27 cuts north and south through the center of Havana, which is about 16 miles northwest of Tallahassee.
Police are still investigating the accident.
