On or about Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent at least one individual to the hospital. Officials from the MSP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Highway 49 at Highway 53 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Authorities from the area said at least one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer and a Chevrolet Malibu collided under unknown conditions near Highway 49 at Highway 53. After the initial accident, the Malibu crashed into a ditch off the side of the roadway. Emergency responders transported at least one person to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Highway 49 at Highway 53 is on the far north side of Gulfport.
Police are still investigating the accident.
