On or about Thursday, January 21st, 2021, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a car left a 70-year-old man dead. Police said the accident was reported on State Highway 93 near the intersection with Innovation Drive near Ronan, Montana.
Officers said 70-year-old Jack Howlett was killed when the car he was in and an 18-wheeler collided under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced Howlett dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
Google Maps shows the scene of the accident was just a few miles south of Ronan. Highway 93 cuts directly through the center of Ronan.
Montana State Police are still investigating the accident.
