On or about Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, an accident between a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler sent a 72-year-old man to the hospital by helicopter. State Patrol said the accident happened at the intersection of 114th Avenue Northeast and Highway 15 just outside McVille, North Dakota.

Officers said 72-year-old Jack Wollum was injured when his Ford F-150 was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while turning from 114th Avenue NE onto the highway. Paramedics airlifted Wollum to the hospital with serious injuries after the crash.

Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 35-year-old Anton Tomko, who was unhurt in the accident.

Google Maps shows Highway 15 is two lanes that run east and west, while 114th Avenue Northeast runs north and south. 114th Avenue has a stop sign at the intersection, while Highway 15 does not. Mcville sits about 117 miles northwest of Fargo.

North Dakota State Police are assisting in the accident investigation.
