On or about Wednesday, April 5th, 2022, around 8:00 in the morning, a major single-vehicle log truck accident left a man and woman dead. Authorities from the KSP said the accident was reported along Highway 119 in Letcher County, Kentucky.

Investigators from the Kentucky State Police said 70-year-old Jackie Lawson and 52-year-old Stuart Horn were killed when the log truck they were in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 119 and rolled a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced Lawson and Horn dead of their injuries a short time after the collision. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on Pine Mountain.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
