Details:
On or about Friday, August 13th, 2021, an accident between a pedestrian and a commercial truck claimed the life of an 87-year-old Brooklyn man. Troopers from the NYSP said the accident was reported at a cow barn at an unspecified business in Covington, New York.
Deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office said 87-year-old Jacob Holzman was killed when he was allegedly struck by a commercial truck that was backing into a cow barn at on an unspecified roadway. Holzman died of his injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if he died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, Covington is situated about 36 miles south of Covington.
Police are still investigating.
