On or about Friday, November 12th, 2021, around 11:00 at night, a single-vehicle heavy-duty pickup truck accident claimed the life of a 50-year-old Morgan County man. Authorities from the Walton County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the Social Circle Parkway in Social Circle, Georgia.
Investigators said 50-year-old Jacob McClure was killed when the Ford F-250 pickup truck he was driving allegedly veered off the side of the road and struck a number of trees in a wooded patch a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced McClure dead of the injuries he sustained when he was ejected from the truck in the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Social Circle is about 45 miles east of downtown Atlantal.
State and local law enforcement are investigating.
