Details:
On or about Monday, November 9th, 2020 an accident between two tractor-trailers and a car left a 37-year-old man dead. Indiana State Police said the accident happened at the intersection of East 29th Street and the Muncie Bypass in Muncie, Indiana.
Police said 37-year-old James Arthur Weaver was killed when his Volkswagen Beetle was allegedly hit by a turning tractor-trailer. After th initial collision, Weaver’s Beetle was hit by a second semi truck. Paramedics rushed weaver to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital where he died a short time after his arrival.
Examining the scene of the crash on Google Maps shows East 29th Street is four lanes, with a curbed median diving east and westbound traffic. The Muncie Bypass crossed over East 29th with an overpass, with smaller intersections on either side of the overpass.
State and local law enforcement are still investigating.
