On or about Saturday, March 26th, 2022, around 4:17 in the morning, a single-vehicle car accident left two people dead and sent one other to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 62 in Motley County, Texas.

Law enforcement officials said 33-year-old James Campbell and 29-year-old Arnaldo Lopez Jr. were killed, while 42-year-old Nick Charles Joiner was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 62 and rolled. Paramedics pronounced Campbell and Lopez Jr. dead a short time after the accident.

According to Google Maps, Motley County is about 96 miles northeast of Lubbock.

Officials are still investigating the accident.
