Details:
On or about Thursday, April 7th, 2022, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Investigators from the MSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 in Jackson County, Mississippi.
Representatives from the Mississippi State Patrol said 81-year-old James Cockrell was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer on the side of the roadway along I-10. Emergency responders pronounced Cockrell dead a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the Ocean Spring exit.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
