Details:
On or about Monday, August 23rd, 2021, around 6:35 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles left one person dead and resulted in the arrest of a truck driver. Police from the area said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 385 and Mercer Road in Odessa, Texas.
Authorities indicated James Everett was killed when a tractor-trailer driven by Anthony Gallow struck Everett’s vehicle and another car at the intersection of Highway 385 and Mercer Road. Paramedics pronounced Everett dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary report.
Police have since charged Anthony Gallow with Criminally Negligent Homicide, Possession of Meth and Falsication of Drug Test Results in connection with the accident.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
