On or about Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, around 12:30 in the morning, a major single-vehicle car accident left a 37-year-old man dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 70 in Hale County, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said 37-year-old James Hart was killed when the vehicle he was in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 70 and rolled. Emergency responders pronounced Hart dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance west of Plainview.
