Details:
On or about Saturday, December 26th, 2020, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a car left one man dead and sent another to the hospital by helicopter. State Troopers said the accident happened on State Road 93 just outside Arcadia in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin.
Law enforcement representatives said 55-year-old James Williams was killed and 60-year-old Michael Buxrude was injured when Williams’ southbound car was allegedly struck by Buxrude’s northbound tractor-trailer. Officers did not elaborate on the sequence of events that led to the accident.
Williams was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident, while Buxrude was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Google Maps shows State Road 93 is two lanes that run north and south through the area. Arcadia is located roughly 45 miles south of Eau Claire.
