On or about Friday, April 29th, 2022, around 8:00 at night, a serious single-vehicle motorcycle accident left a 30-year-old man injured. Officers from the LPD said the accident was reported along Quaker Avenue in Lubbock, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Lubbock Police Department said 30-year-old Jamie Hernandez was injured when the motorcycle they were on allegedly veered off the side of Quaker Avenue and hit both a curb and a boulder in a residential yard a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported Hernandez to the hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the exchange with 63rd Street.
Police are still investigating the accident.
