Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, around 2:18 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a man and woman dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 67 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Spokespeople from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said Janet and Eldon Shaffner were killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly crossed over the center line of Highway 67 and hit a tractor-trailer. Janet and Eldon Shaffner died of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 67 cuts north and south through Pocahontas.
Police are still looking into the accident.
