On or about Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, a single-vehicle rollover accident claimed the life of one man. Authorities said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and TX Spur 156 just outside Waskom in Harrison County, Texas.
Deputies from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said Jared Hudson was killed when the vehicle he was driving allegedly drove off the side of the road when it drove through the stop sign at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and TX Spur 156. Emergency responders pronounced Hudson dead a short time after they responded to the scene, but indicated that the crash likely occurred several days earlier.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Waskom, which is about 166 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.
