Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a car, and a pedestrian left a 29-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported on the southbound side of Interstate 95 in Henrico County, Virginia.
Officials from the Virginia State Police said 29-year-old Jasmin Thomas was killed when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer and a car after she stepped out of her vehicle. The tractor-trailer did not stay at the scene following the incident. Paramedics pronounced Thomas dead of her injuries a short time after the they arrived. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary report.
Interstate 95 runs north and south through Henrico County, which runs along the north and eastern edges of Richmond, according to Google Maps.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
