On or about Friday, June 18th, 2021, around 8:40 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left a 26-year-old Glen Carbon woman dead. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 in Bond County, Illinois.
Spokespeople from the Illinois State Police said 26-year-old Jasmine Streator was killed when her car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving opposite directions on Interstate 70. Emergency responders pronounced Streator dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. Officers did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 runs east and west through the center of Bond County, which is about 52 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri.
State and local law enforcement agencies are investigating the crash.
