On or about Wednesday, November 24th, 2021, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a heavy-duty pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent a 36-year-old Hoyleton man to the hospital. Representatives from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 64 at the exchange with Route 51 in Irvington Township, Illinois.
Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said 36-year-old Jason Everette was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly attempted a turn and struck Everette’s pickup truck. Emergency responders transported Everette to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Ricky True, who was cited for failure to yield following the crash.
