Details:
On or about Thursday, August 26th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between two tractor-trailers and several cars left three men dead and sent two other people to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 10 in Seguin, Texas.
Police said 48-year-old Jason Howell, 36-year-old Jason Sanchez, and 37-year-old Joseph Cline were killed, and two other people were injured when a tractor-trailer hauling meat products allegedly spilled it’s load across the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10. A second tractor-trailer and several other vehicles allegedly crashed as a result of the initial accident. Howell, Sanchez and Cline were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Emergency responders transported two other people to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Police did not indicate which vehicles the victims were in at the time of the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs east and west through Seguin, which is about 36 miles northeast of San Antonio.
State and local law enforcement are investigating the accident.
