Details:
On or about Thursday, January 13th, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, an accident betwen a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 45-year-old Martinsville man. Law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Interstate 69 near Bargersville in Morgan County, Indiana.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police said 45-year-old Jason Phelps was killed when the pickup truck he was driving was allegedly rear-ended by a tractor-trailer while he was stopped at an intersection. Emergency responders pronounced Phelps dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Bargersville, which is about 18 miles south of downtown Indianapolis.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
