Details:
On or about May 20th, 2022, around 10:10 in the morning, a serious accident between a pickup truck and a motorcycle left one man dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 96 in Jasper County, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said Jason Speegle was killed in when the motorcycle he was driving allegedly hit a pickup truck at a high rate of speed along Highway 96. Emergency responders rushed Speegle to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Officials identified the driver of the pickup truck as 71-year-old Beverly Harrison, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the collision is at or near the intersection with County Road 482.
Police are still investigating.
