Details:
On or about Monday, February 21st, 2022, around 12:20 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent four others to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 80 in Adair County, Iowa.
Investigators from the Iowa State Police said 27-year-old Jasvier Sood was killed, while 36-year-old Milinganyo Bwami, 45-year-old Wabia Yungu, and two as-of-yet unidentified juveniles were injured when Sood’s tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of a Honda Pilot occupied by Bwami, Yungu, and the juveniles. Sood was pronounced dead following the accident, while Bwami, Yungu, and the two juveniles were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 80 runs east and west along the northern edge of Adair County.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
