Details:
On or about Monday, March 14th, 2022, around 11:45 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 37-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 near Parmer Lane in Austin, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 37-year-old Javier Eduardo Canchola was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of I-35. Emergency responders rushed Canchola to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 35 and Parmer Lane is on the north side of Austin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
