Javier Mireles was killed and seven child passengers injured when four vehicles collided as a result of a wrong-way driver at the intersection of Everhart Road and Cedar Pass Drive in Corpus Christi, TX. Corpus Christi Police report the accident occurred around 3:31 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, when Mireles was travelling north in the southbound lanes of Everhart Road. Mireles first struck a black pickup, followed by the blue SUV, with that collision sending sending Mireles and the blue SUV into the maroon SUV. The driver of the black pickup and the maroon SUV were uninjured, and the cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
