On or about Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, around 11:31 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist left a 49-year-old man dead. Officials from the UHP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Canyon Creek Parkway and Highway 6 in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Local law enforcement personnel said 49-year-old Jed Jorgensen was killed when he was allegedly hit by a turning tractor-trailer as he was riding his bike at or near the intersection of Canyon Creek Parkway and Highway 6. Emergency responders pronounced Jorgensen dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from 1000 North Street.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
