Jeffrey Benis was killed in a tractor-trailer accident along Route 23, locally referred to as River Road, in Willington, CT. Connecticut State Police report the accident took place shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, when the tractor-trailer reportedly began to drift off the road. The northbound tractor-trailer then collided with a utility pole, went across the road and struck a guard rail. Benis, a Windsor Locks, CT, native, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
