On or about Monday, December 20th, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a Lansing resident. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Lehman Road from Grange Road in Westphalia Township, Michigan.

Deputies from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department said Jeffrey Blastic was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly turned into his path at the intersection of Lehman Road from Grange Road. Emergency responders pronounced Blastic dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the collision.

According to Google Maps, Westphalia Township is about 52 miles east of Grand Rapids.
