On or about Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, a suspected alcohol related accident with a pedestrian sent one individual to the hospital with critical injuries. Sources from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 691 in Denison, Texas.

Deputies from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department said Jeremiah Tucker was injured when he was allegedly struck by a passing motorist as he may have been laying in the roadway or partially in the roadway. Emergency responders transported Tucker to Texoma Medical Center Hospital where he was last reported in critical condition by medical staff. The driver of the passenger vehicle was uninjured.

Police noted that Tucker may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident, and have since cited him for public intoxication in connection with the incident.

According to Google Maps, Denison is about 75 miles north of downtown Dallas.
